A RISO-PRINTED CONE-SHAPED EXHIBITION !

A fresh selection of European illustration. The ice-cream cone - an object both crunchy and creamy, geometrical and shapeless - becomes the model for a complexity difficult to categorize. A variety of artists and illustrators present their own personal creamy version through the smoothness and zest of the Risograph print technique.

This is the Spring part of Teatro Fondamenta Nuove programme. We imagined a mutant-combo-geek molecule to represent the multiform nature of this space for contemporary arts in Venice.

Considero la forma un contenuto in sé, e quindi non da sottovalutare. / I mainly work with collage, photography and mixed media. I try to carefully select the media I chose according to the idea I had to work on. I see ‘form’ as content, and its value should never be underestimated.

Pop Up Dom



Lucky us! In this watery town has arrived Pop Up Dom - a superactive Slovenian group of designers (and much more) at A+A Gallery. They furnished the exhibition / sale / co-working space with smart and remarkable pieces (that you can try and buy) and they animate it with a rich calendar of events - such as workshops, wine and dines, little concerts and talks.

The booklet features the works of the omonymous group (Andrea Grotto, Adriano Valeri, Cristiano Menchini e Marco Gobbi with Fondazione Bevilacqua la Masa) and of the artists they invited to engage with open areas by setting up brief residencies in significant place in Northern Italy during 2012-13.

Gelatology / The Workshop #1





GELATOLOGY   I multigusti del visivo / The many flavours of aesthetics

Through the metaphor and the model of an ice-cream cone we explore milky geometries and marbled combinations of matter. The workshop offers a taste of Studio Fludd's creative methodology, allowing participants to experience a process which begins by collecting and re-elaborating differing types of stimuli and concludes with a visually effective material product.

Matter Matters / The Chef

Lucky us! We had the chance to visit at work Daniele Zennaro, chef of the renowned restaurant Vecio Fritolin in Venezia, close to the Rialto bridge. He prepared for us three wonderful dishes from the holiday menu (+ a little interview to follow), all exploring different consistencies and tasteful transformations of matter.
